3 Suspected Child Traffickers Arrested In Rivers State

Police have arrested three women at Ogbogoro community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State on suspicion of stealing three new-born children.

It was gathered that the women intercepted were in possession of the three childrenin Ogbogoro community and were handed over to detectives at the Ozuoba Divisional Police Station by the some youths.

A source in the area revealed that one woman was first arrested with the children and upon interrogation, she mentioned two other suspected accomplices.

The arrest of the suspected abductors of children was made after five children were reported missing in the area within a space of one week.

A police officer at the Ozuoba Division confirmed that investigation has commenced to unravel circumstances surrounding the arrest.
